The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers,(Erode Local centre), organised a guest lecture titled “E- Vehicle for Electronics” from 11.04.2023 to 12.04.2023 It was aimed at disseminating knowledge to students about the role of electronics engineers in the design of E- Vehicle. The welcome address was given by Dr.M.Sudha, HoD/ECE, Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal gave the presidential address. Ms.Loshika, from II year ECE introduced the resource speakers.
Mr. G.Karthikeyan, AP/EEE, Anjali Ammal-Mahalingam Engineering College, Thiruvarur was the resource speaker on 11.04.2023. He briefed the role of electronic components applied in the design of E-Vehicle. Mr. S.Govindaraj and Mr.A.Abdul Basith from TATA motors, Salem Branch were the resource persons on 12.4.2023. In their address, Mr.S.Govindaraj, TATA motors,Salem Branch started the guest lecture with the topic – E- Vehicle for Electronics and explained about different types of sensors, transducers and control equipment’s. They discussed the topics of Battery management system. They elucidated the advantages of E-Vehicle in future. The students were able to acquaint themselves with the various devices used in E-Vehicle Design and they also engaged the students with test Drive in their E-cars. Around 200 members participated in the guest lecture. Queries were clarified by the resource speaker.
The session ended with a Vote of Thanks by Ms.Jayasurya K, II Year, ECE. Mrs.C.Vanaja Associate Professor, ECE and Mr.S.Loganathan, Assistant Professor, ECE, organised the event. Dr. S.Vijayakumar Professor ECE, Mrs.E. Sangeetha Associate Professor, Mr.S.Satheesh kumar Assistant Professor, ECE and Mr.G.Nandhakumar coordinated with the students.
