The Department of EEE in association with the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) has conducted an one day seminar on “RECENT ADVANCEMENTS IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY ” on July 22, 2023, at Cute Hall. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, presided over the function and insisted on the importance of Electric Vehicle to the students. He raised awareness about EV and its needs.
Mr.M.SABARIMUTHU,Assistant Professor (Senior Grade),Department of EEE,Kongu Engineering College, Erode was the guest speaker. In his lecture, he explained the Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are one of the major problems that the world is facing nowadays. The transportation sector, where vehicles run on oil, contributes a large amount of GHG. The development of electric vehicles to meet the allowed GHG limits has recently been the main focus of research worldwide. Research in electric vehicles (EVs) has observed a tremendous upsurge in recent years. The many thought-provoking understandings related to specific developments, specifically global demand and growth of EVs along with electricity and battery demand, current technological developments in EVs, energy storage technologies, and charging strategies. He also detailed the next generation of EVs and their technological advancements, such as wireless power transfer.
This one-day seminar was organised by Professor and Head of the Department Dr.G.Balaji and coordinated by Dr.K.Jagatheesan, Dr.D.Boopathi and Mr.R.Satheeshkumar.
