The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the Energy Club of Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), organized a one-day webinar on “A Simple Route Map for a Job” on February 17, 2024. Dr. M. Premkumar, principal, presided over the function and insisted on the importance of the webinar to the students.
The resource person was Ms. G. Janapriya, a junior Java developer at Accenture Coimbatore. She started her talk by discussing career options for those with a degree, including core jobs, business, tech jobs, and further education. She went on to say that the various tech jobs include networking, testing, development (both front-end and back-end applications), and support roles. She emphasized the various values—knowledge and skills, for example—that are needed by today’s industries, which include both IT and non-IT sectors.
Finally, the student participants got a simple route map and clarity for their job through the interaction with the resource person in this webinar.
Dr. G. Balaji, the department head and professor, coordinated this webinar. Dr. D. Boopathi, AP/EEE, Dr. S. Ramachandran, AP/EEE, and V. Kumarakrishnan, AP/EEE, served as coordinators.
III-year Energy Club member Mr. Hariharasudhan introduced the resource person; IV-year Energy Club member Mr. Rajidharan proposed the vote of thanks; and III-year Energy Club member Ms. Nathiya welcomed everyone to the meeting.
