The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous) organized a One Day National Level Workshop on EV BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND IT’S FAULT DIAGNOSIS on 30th May 2022 at Prestige Hall. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, presided over the function and insisted the needs and importance of electric vehicles in upcoming days to control global warming and balance fuel demand.
Dr. A. RAMMOHAN, M.E., Ph.D., Autonomous Vehicles Research Lab i/c, Automotive Research Centre (ARC), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore was the guest speaker. He delivered a lecture with the basic concept, need of EV in recent days to meet-out fuel demand in the upcoming days and control global warming. Also,he discussed with the various components of the battery management system and various causes of fault occurrence in the battery. In addition, the procedure for designing an EV battery management system using the MATLAB tool was elaborated. Finally, he interacted with the participants and clarified their doubts related to components of EV, various components in battery management, and design using the software tools. The workshop has been demonstrated to be very inspirational and informative for the participants.
Earlier, Dr.K.Jagatheesan, Associate Professor / EEE welcomed the gathering, Dr.D.Boopathi, Assistant Professor / EEE introduced the chief guest, and Prof. R.Satheeshkumar, Assistant Professor / EEE delivered the vote of thanks.
