The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering had organized an in-house online workshop on “NPTEL Awareness” on 9thDecember 2021throughthe Microsoft Teams platform. Mr.S. Sathish, Assistant Professor, ECE was the resource person.
He explained about NPTEL, which is an initiative of IIT’s and IISc and its impact, infrastructure. He also elucidated the various benefits one can get through NPTEL certification and its association with curriculum structure and regulations of Paavai Engineering College. He also stressed the importance of online domain certifications and the star performers of different courses. He explained the procedure of enrolling and registering various courses, its assessment pattern and statistical survey of NPTEL courses undertaken so far. Finally, few queries were posted by the students and it was clarified. The main outcome of the workshop was students were made aware of the importance of NPTEL courses and its certification and few students have enrolled for it.
Dr.M.Sudha,HoD,ECE, Dr.R.Mohana Priya, Coordinator, Mr.S.Loganathan, Department association coordinators, faculty members and 182 students were present in the meeting.
