The Department of Food Technology, Paavai Engineering college conducted a webinar on “NANOTECHNOLOGY IN FOOD PROCESSING: PERCEPTION AND OVERVIEW” on 12.04.2023 (Wednesday) for all the food technology students. The resource person of the day Dr. P. Karthik, Associate Professor, Department of Food Technology, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore flabbergasted the students with the concept of Nano foods and enlightened them about nano-emulsions, Nano green tea, world market of nanofoods, etc., He also briefed on Emulsifiers used for nano-structuring and how one can reduce fat contents in food using nanotechnology. It was insightful to know the advances of nano foods in the market. The students raised their queries and interacted with the resource person.
