The Department of Food Technology has conducted a Guest lecture entitled “FOOD AUTHENTICATION” on 24.03.2023 (Friday). The students of Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering & Pharmaceutical Technology of Paavai Engineering College attended the guest lecture. Our Director Admin Dr. K.K. Ramasamy felicitated the gathering with the elaboration of recent happenings in the field of food technology. The resource person of the day Dr. R. Prakash Maran, Associate Professor, Department of Food Science & Nutrition, enlightened the students with various analytical techniques involving the new products developed. He also acquainted the students about the differences in Food fraud and Food adulteration. Levels of food authentication was emphasized during his talk and many scientific examples were quoted for easy understanding. The students interacted with the subject expertise with their queries and illuminated themselves.
