The department of MCA had organized a one day Alumni Guest Lecture Series on “Crafting Your Roadmap from Campus to Corporate Word” on 09th December 2023. Mr. A. Praveenkumar, Technical Project Manager, Tata Consultancy Services, Bengauru, was the Alumni Speaker at the function. The function started with a divine note along with a prayer song. Ms. S. Keerthi, I-Year MCA, welcomed the gathering. The function was presided over by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College and the alumni speaker was introduced by Ms. R. Seva Varshini, I-Year MCA.
Dr. M. Premkumar, in his presidential address, insisted the importance of Seminars and Workshops to enhance the knowledge of the students and advised them to involve in all activities to get maximum benefits. He also motivated the students to focus on the placement in Multinational Company.
The alumni speaker, Mr. A. Praveen Kumar, in his keynote, addressed the students to be well versed in current trends of AI tools and how to build resumes, so that they could update their resumes to the latest model in their respective fields. He gave a detailed speech on Self-Motivation, Networking, Internships, Part-Time Jobs, Skill Development and Resume Building. He also narrated the Agile Methodology, Interview Preparation, Personality Development and the Process of Web Development to showcase our achievements, skills and experiences via a live online presence.
The session was interactive and the queries of the students was cleared by the resource person. The outcome of this one day seminar was that the students were able to understand the concept of alumni Guest lecture series. They also learned about how to craft the roadmap from campus to corporate and develop web applications with the latest web technology.
The seminar concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. S.Sabarish, I-year MCA. Many HoDs, Professors and Faculty members from various departments actively participated in the program and made it a grand success. The students from the Department of MCA, Cyber Security and IoT participated with full motivation and definitely benefitted by the program.
