The Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering along with Aeronautical Engineering in association with Resource Club, Microbytes Innovation Club, and Aeromodelling Club have organized a National Conference on Recent Advancements in Engineering and Technology, titled NCRAET’22 online on 01.11.2022. The Chief Guests of the inaugural function of the conference were Dr.VIJAYSHANKAR ASOKAN, President, Nordic Forum for Science & Technology, Sweden and Managing Director, Mullai Academia International Pvt., Ltd, India and Dr.KARTHIKEYAN. A.K, Chief Executive Officer, MaDelT Innovation Foundation. The welcome address was delivered by Mr.J.Sujithkuamr, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and the presidential address was given by Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College. The Chief Guests were introduced by the forum by Dr.V.Subburam, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mr.S.Prabhakaran, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering respectively. The Prelude to the conference was given by Dr.S.Maniraj, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
There was very good response to the conference and more than hundred papers were received from reputed institutions and 61 papers selected finally for presentation. The selected papers will be published in conference proceeding with ISBN number.
The Principal, in his presidential address urged the participants and students to utilize such programs to gain knowledge on advancements in different fields of technology and the chief guests are experts in their domains and their inputs will be very useful. This was followed by inaugural address by the chief guests. Dr.Karthikeyan. A.K, talked about the gigantic growth of startups in India and the significance of entrepreneurship and innovation for the development of our country. He also told that he is ready to help students who want to become entrepreneurs or take startup ventures. Dr.VIJAYSHANKAR ASOKAN, in his talk told about the role of research for development and gave lot of information about how to apply for higher studies in European countries, different types of scholarships available, system of education, job scopes abroad and the ever increasing number of Indian students going abroad for education.
The papers presented were very interesting and on topics of current advancements. The juries provided very valuable inputs to the presenters which would help them immensely to enrich their papers and the power point presentation.
The conference came to an end fulfilling the intended objective. The master of ceremony was done by Mr. N.Lokeshwaran, Assistant Professor, Mechanical and Dr.S.T.Kumaravel, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered the Vote of Thanks.
