A Guest Lecture on ‘MANUFACUTRING PROCESSES AND SCOPE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS IN RUBBER INDUSTRIES’ was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Resource club on 23.09.2022.
This programme imparts basic knowledge on machining process behind the reclaimed rubbers. The resource person was Mr.S.K.G.SRI RAMJI, Executive Director, ESKEGIE Reclaims, Salem. He is a renowned entrepreneur who is working on industrial problems.
The inaugural function held in this connection was presided over by the Director, Paavai Institutions, Dr. K.K.Ramasamy. Faculty members and students of Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering from Paavai Engineering College have participated in this programme.
The Admin, in his presidential address urged the participants to utilize the opportunity to update their knowledge in the domain of Production Technology as this would be the base for solving industrial problems in the future.
The invited speaker Mr.S.K.G.SRI RAMJI begun his lecture by explaining the fundamentals and types of Rubbers and their manufacturing processes and all the terminology associated with it through power point presentation. The guest lecture included the production process of reclaimed rubber by showing the videos which are practiced in his industry. He also explained the various scopes of Mechanical Engineers in future. He cleared the doubts in the interaction session. He also assured internship for our students.
The Guest lecture was interesting, informative and interactive. The sessions were beneficial to the participants which was clear from the enthusiasm they expressed during interactions. The session came to an end with the vote of thanks.
