The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with resource club organized a guest lecture titled “Scope and Methodologies of NDT in manufacturing” on 12.09.2023. The objective of this guest lecture was to provide knowledge on testing techniques through NDT in manufacturing. Welcome address was given by J.Naveen kumar, from Final Year Mechanical. Mr.D.Gopinath,Advanced NDT inspector,Eddytech academy, was the resource speaker. Mr.Singadurai, from third year Mechanical introduced the resource speaker.
In his speech, he explained about the testing process and various stages involved in testing methodologies in manufacturing. He also explained the ways in which manufacturing processes can be enhanced by the testing process. He explained about various software design tools, various levels of certification in NDT etc. It helped the students to gain information about the future scopes of NDT.
Around 120 students participated in this guest lecture along with faculty members. He interacted with participants and cleared their doubts.
The session ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr.Mugil Raj, from final year Mechanical.
