The department of Mechatronics and ISTE student chapter of Paavai Engineering College organized a one-day online webinar through Microsoft Teams Platform titled on “INTRODUCTION TO INDUSTRY 5.0 AND ITS APPLICATIONS” on 9th February 2023. Mr. Ramachandran Sivakumar, Third year B.E/MCT welcomed the participants. Dr.M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, explained the increase in technological advancements in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and data analytics has led to the next industrial revolution “Industry 5.0”. Mr. Naveen Venkatesh, Third year B.E/MCT introduced the chief guest. Dr.R.Rajkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai was the guest speaker. He pointed out the application areas of Industry 5.0 such as smart manufacturing, supply chain management, smart textiles, intelligent traffic, innovation ecosystem, cloud manufacturing, digital marketing, real-time productivity optimization, augmented reality and virtual reality, predictive maintenance, smart additive manufacturing. Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Navanidhan, Third year B.E/MCT. The webinar helped the students as well as staff in understanding the concept of Industrial Safety. The session was very informative and interesting. Totally about 60 students got benefited from the session.
