The Department of Physics, Paavai Engineering College organized a one day Student webinar on “QUANTUM PHYSICS – FUNDAMENTALS AND ITS APPLICATIONS” on 06th Jan, 2024. The webinar Programme was organized by Professor & Head of the Department Mrs. S. Kavitha and coordinated by Dr. Dr. R. Kamalakannan, and Dr.S.Thangavel along with faculty members. Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College delivered his Presidential Address on the occasion. Prof..Mr.S.Dinakaran, Science and Humanities, introduced the Chief Guest Dr. D.Rajan Babu, Professor – Higher Academic Grade, Department of Physics, School of Advanced Sciences, Vellore Institute of Technology, and Ms.I Thaslema Afrin First year EEE, Paavai Engineering College welcomed the gathering. After that, the floor was handed over to the chief guest. He shared his knowledge of the history of quantum physics and explained the dual nature of the particle. He also extended his speech on applications of quantum physics in various fields. The session was very informative and interesting. Then the floor was opened to the participants for interactions. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. N. Nagavarshitha from first Year/EEE. Thanks to our Management, Director-Admin, Principal and Staff members for their support and for making the event a very successful one.
