The Entrepreneurship Development Cell in association with the Institution’s Innovation council of Paavai Institutions has conducted a “Residential ideation bootcamp” from 14.10.2022 to 16.10.2022. Around 150 students from Paavai Engineering College, Paavai College of Engineering, Paavai College of Technology, Paavai Polytechnic College and Paavai Arts and Science College for Women actively participated in the ideation bootcamp. The inaugural session was held at Pragathi Hall on 14.10.2022. It started with an invocation by the students. Welcome address was given by Dr.R.Mohana Priya, IIC Convener. Followed with it, Dr.M.PremKumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College gave the Presidential address. He stressed the importance of organizing such boot camps to enhance the potential capabilities of the students for a better career building.
The resource person of the program Mr. Nawin Krishna, Founder, Startup Payanam, Coimbatore flabbergasted the students by explaining about entrepreneurship. He also gave a detailed explanation on Entrepreneurship opportunities, qualities of an entrepreneur, various grands and fundings provided by government and non government sectors and so on. The boot camp has different sections that enlightened the students with many different start-up ideas. SWOT analysis for individual student as well as for their project ideas for various startups were also a part of the boot camp. The students interacted with the guest speaker with their queries, actively involved in preparing SWOT analysis and presented it in-front of the gathering for illuminating themselves as a successful entrepreneur in the future.
Dr.K.Sundara Murthy, IQAC Head, Dr.P.Pugalenthi, EDC Coordinator, Mr.S.Gowtham Kumar and Ms.S.Pragathi, Assistant Professors, Pharmaceutical, faculty coordinators from various departments attended the boot camp.
