The auspicious occasion of the inauguration ceremony of first-year classes of Paavai Engineering College, Paavai College of Engineering and College of Education – விதை!!! for the academic year 2023-2024 was held from 19.09.2023 to 21.09.2023 in Aanadha Arangam with around 2500 students. The ceremony commenced with an invocation followed by lighting of Kuthuvilaku by Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent Paavai Institutions along with the dignitaries, parents, and students. It was followed with bhajan by the students who immersed the gathering in a divine path. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions welcomed the gathering.
The first year of college is a period of exploration and growth, setting the stage for a successful and fulfilling higher education experience. In the inaugural cum Presidential address, Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, of Paavai Institutions insisted that students should be confident and ambitious to face the challenges ahead. He also added that inaugurating such functions with the lighting of kuthuvilaku symbolizes God and divine power and he mentioned the significance of the five faces in it. He also stressed the importance of innovation, internship, industrial tie-up, and collaboration with foreign universities were highlighted. He highlighted the achievements of Paavai in- terms of student’s intake, cocurricular and extracurricular events. He also shared that Paavai Engineering College stood third in TNEA for the academic year2023-2024. He pinpointed that learning is a continuous process, and it is the need of the hour. He added that burden of parents is shifted to Paavai shoulders and the parents can lead a healthy life for the next four years.
Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering. She insisted on Paavai Culture and Mantra – “Owning our words and deeds” and emphasized, that everything that is done at Paavai should be socially responsible, economically viable, legally bound, and ethically sound. The first-year students were presented with books as a token of knowledge sharing and the introduction of Directors, Principals and Heads of various departments was done by Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, of Paavai Institutions.
The vote of thanks was given by Principal, Paavai Engineering College, Dean Academics and Paavai college of Engineering on the three days of inauguration ceremony. It was followed by traditional Padha Pooja by the freshers to the parents. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Director Admissions,Deans, Principals, Controller of Examinations, Heads of various departments, Senior Professors, faculty members and students.
