The Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has organized an online webinar on IPR and E-filing strategies for Copyrights through the Microsoft team’s platform on 08.12.2021 from 3.00 p.m. to 4.15 p.m. Mr.T.Jaychandran, Assistant Professor, ECE, Nandha Engineering College, Erode was the resource speaker.
The welcome address was delivered by S.Keerthana, a final-year student of the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal and President of IIC gave his presidential address. In his address, he emphasized the importance of organizing such programmes.
Cherub from the third year CSE introduced the resource personMr.T.Jaychandran, Assistant Professor, ECE, Nandha Engineering College, Erode. The session was continued with the resource person. In his address, he explained the differences between Copyrights, Trademark and Patent. He also elucidated the Copyright registration workflow, the process for applying and filling the application form to get copyrights, statement particulars, discrepancy procedures, documents to be uploaded and the complete process flow. He also encouraged and emphasized to the participants to apply for their works under different arenas for copyrights. Followed with his address, queries were posted and clarified by the resource speaker. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Sretharessene from third-year ECE.
