The Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Paavai Engineering College and Inner wheel club of Salem Mango city have organized a seminar on “HOW TO START UP” on 18.01.2022 from 12.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m. Mr.N.Santhosh, Cofounder and COO, Mark, Punethe resource speaker.
The online seminar started with the welcome address by K.Aishwaraya from third year ECE, Paavai Engineering College. The chief guest introduction was given by M.Anuvarshitha from third year ECE. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal and President of IIC gave his presidential address. In his address, he emphasized that the State and Central government are taking lot of initiatives for establishing start-ups and National start-up day being celebrated on Jan,16,2022. He also added to explore new ideas and concepts regarding Start-ups. Mrs.Annapoorna Siddeswaran from Salem Wheels Club gave her special address.
The session continued with the resource speaker talk. He first explained about the Start-ups. Then, he explained the different ideas for launching a startup.
He also explained the differences between Conventional Business Vs Startups. He also explained the procedures for setting up a company, funding for startup, valuation for a funded company. He also stressed the importance of team building and explained the hurdles he came across in his life to become a cofounder of start-up. He also explained about the intern opportunities available in his concern. He then answered the queries posted by the participants. The session ended with a Vote of thanks by Roshan Kumar from second year Biomedical engineering.
Dr.K.Sundara Murthy, Vice President of IIC, Professor of Mechanical, Dr.R.Mohana Priya, Convener of IIC, Associate Professor of ECE , Mr.S.Sathish, Assistant Professor of ECE, along with faculty members, and around285 participants were present in the online seminar session.
