The Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Paavai Engineering College has organized an online webinar on “World Entrepreneurs Day” Online Webinar on Business Opportunities in Electric Vehicles” through the Microsoft team’s platform on 21.08.2022 from 07.00 p.m. to 08.00 p.m.
The Event started with a welcome address by Kumara Prasad, a Third -year student of the Electronics and Electronics Engineering Department.
The session continued with the resource person’s talk. He said that the electric vehicles are the only solution to meet the country’s development and fuel shortage needs. Now the Indian government is taking steps to achieve it, and we have that concern. He said that the electric vehicles are going to play an important role in the future India. There are many electric-based companies that are manufacturing electric cars and bikes like Tata, Hyundai and their marketing products are in the Indian market.
The chief guest said that, yet the people have some hesitation about buying electric vehicles because of some technical issues with battery heating problems, so we need to concentrate on research and development of the product to rectify that. He also said that Nowadays, the Indian government provides various subsidies for electrical-based vehicles. As a future engineer, each students should come forward to do self-employment related to it and develop the qualifications for it. He insisted that many startups are moving the Students should participate in electrical-based conferences, seminars, and workshops to develop their knowledge in the field of electric vehicles.
