The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Paavai Engineering College organized a webinar on the topic of “NBA Criteria and Preparation of SAR”on 28thDecember,2022 through the Microsoft Teams platform under Margadarshak scheme.
Dr.H.S.Mohan,Professor and Head, Department of Information Science and Engineering, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore and Dr.G.K.Siddesh, Head – Research and Development,New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore were the resource persons.The welcome address was given by Dr.K.Sundaramurthy, Head – IQAC & Professor, Department of MechanicalEngineering and the introduction of guest speakers were done by Mrs. K.Sudhadevi Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering and Mr.J.Sujith Kumar,Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering respectively.
The resource person explained about the significance of NBA Accreditation process and how to prepare for different Program Level Criteria that include Vision, Mission and Program Educational Objectives, Program Curriculum and Teaching – Learning Processes, Course Outcomes and Program Outcomes, Students’ Performance, Faculty Information and Contributions, Facilities and Technical Support, Continuous Improvement, and the NBA Institute Level Criteria of First Year Academics, Student Support Systems, Governance, Institutional Support and Financial Resources. Further he provided guidelines for the preparation of the Self Assessment Report (SAR). He also elaborated on the process of uploading of documents in the website and cleared the doubts raised by the faculty members.
The Heads of various departments, NBA co-ordinators, senior faculty members participated in the session and benefited. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.A.Rathinam, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the end.
