The National Service Scheme of Paavai Engineering College in association with Government Hospital, Namakkal and Government Hospital, Rasipuram organized a Blood Donation Camp on 7th August 2023 at Visvesvaraya Hall. Dr.Divya, Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Namakkal was the Chief Guest, Ms.M.Safa Farine. Final year, Bio Medical Engineering, welcomed the gathering. The chief guest Dr.Divya, addressed the students on the importance of the blood donation. She also explained about the rules for blood donation. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director-Administration, Paavai Educational Institutions, in his Presidential Address, highlighted the importance of donating blood to the needy patients which is a noble cause. He also appreciated the efforts taken by the NSS to conduct such camps which can save lives in danger.
In this camp, Dr.R.Senthilkumar, Blood Bank Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Rasipuram, Dr.S.Sudha, Medical officer, Primary Health Center, Pudhuchattram, Health Inspectors, Mr.C.Rathnakumar, NSS Programme Officer, Paavai Engineering College were present and they encouraged the students to donate blood. Mr.C.Rathnakumar, NSS Programme Officer, organized the blood donation camp.
The students of Paavai Engineering College donated blood. Totally 182 students donated blood. Finally, Certificates of appreciation and refreshments were given to the donors as a token of gratitude. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.V.Sanmathi, Final year, Electronics and Communication Engineering.
