The Societal Development and Welfare Club of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an online event of ‘SOCIO VISION’ on the dusky time of 17th December 2021 to 18th December 2021 at 7.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. through the Microsoft Teams platform.
On the first day of the inauguration, Mr.T.S.Divakaran from the third year, ECE gave the welcome address. Mr.S.Loganathan, Assistant Professor of ECE addressed the students and delivered a few words about the club events and motivated all students for their continuous efforts and initiatives taken for societal awareness. He increased the curiosity of the participants from various departments. The first-day event is ‘Matchup with RJ’. Mr.T.Divakaran, III year ECE had done his role as RJ and gave the flow for the entire event. The first round related to image puzzles and in the second round Meme mania was conducted. Participants were eagerly giving their participation and responses. Miss.B.Dharani, II year ECE had delivered her vote of thanks and continuity notification for the next day.
On the second day event, a welcome address was given by Miss.S.Keerthana, IV year ECE. Dr.S.Vijayakumar, Professor of ECE addressed the students and shared his view on 2nd day’s competitions about Photography and Video editing. 35 participants had participated in the competition. Image rally was made and showcased for the audience. After that video presentation was done. The main theme was about Humanity and the Rehabilitation of homeless people. Mr.N.Yuthan, IV year ECE and Student Coordinator of Societal Development & Welfare Club of the Department of ECE shared their views and thoughts regarding rehabilitation of homeless people and collected some ideas and thoughts from participants and also from the audience. Meanwhile Mr.A.Thirupughalvan, IV year ECE and Student Secretary of the department of ECE shared his thoughts and points about ‘SOCIO VISION’ and appreciated these kinds of events.
Finally, Miss.V.Shanmathi, II year ECE delivered her vote of thanks and Mr.S.Sathish, Assistant Professor of ECE and Coordinator of Societal Development & Welfare Club of the Department of ECE thanked all the participants. Dr.M.Sudha, Head of the Department and Dr.R.Mohana Priya, Associate Professor/Association Coordinator of the department of ECE thanked all the participants and volunteers and encouraged the members to do good to the society. Around 120 members attended the event.
