The Department of Aeronautical Engineering conducted the webinar on “Basics of Aeronautical Engineering” for the studentsand teaching faculties. There were totally 120 participants including students, faculties.
The Speaker of the Day 1 is Dr.S.SudhagaraRajan, Young Talent Researcher, UNESP- Faculty of Engineering, Brazil presented the topic on “Indispensable role of materials in Aerospace Industries”. He discussed the concept of composites and composites used in the aerospace industry and advantages & disadvantages of various materials used in different areas of aircraft. He projected a clear understanding of the importance of composite materials and its uses. He inspired the audience by lively interacting on topics.
On Day 2 Speaker Mr. Miracle Israel Nazarious, Project Manager of HABIT, UK presented the topic on “What it takes to be an aerospace engineer?”. He discussed the Career opportunities in abroad and procedure to clear exams and how to enter core industries. He shared his study experience and work experience in various projects. He made a clear view for students about their career and how they can pursue the dream and guided to get some core jobs.
Followed by him, On Day 3 Mr. A. SabikNainar , Ex-Airforce – Aircraft and Airframe Systems, Senior Research Associate, Jet Aerospace Aviation and Research Centre presented the topic on “Airport Ground Operations”. He projected on comprehending the theoretical concepts of ground operations and relating to the practical aspects. And also, he discussed, what are the problems comes while doing ground operation and how we can avoid by doing various checks and maintenance. He also shared his knowledge with students about making Rc Plane, UAV etc.
On Day 4, Dr. A Vivek Anand, Professor-Aero, MLRIET, Hyderabad presented the topic on “Best Practices- Academic Research to IP Commercialization”. He discussed the concept of Intellectual property which is about intangible creations of the human intellect and various types like copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. He explained each type very well and it inspired the audience because of well-versed knowledge in this field.
Last day of this webinar series, Day 5 Mr.P. Sivakumar,Senior Engineer, BI pvt Ltd presented the topic on “Aerospace Technical Publication/ XR Technology”. He discussed about the XR technology which is offering us amazing visualization possibilities in myriad application areas along the aerospace supply chain. He shares his experience in this project how Boeing has made great progress since those pioneering efforts, and the company continues to explore the use of XR.
The objective of the webinar was achieved. The overall session discussion benefitted the students and faculties. This webinar would help the participants to get basics of aeronautics and careeropportunities for students in India and also in abroad and also it would help them to do their higher studies.
