The webinar started in the presence of Chief Guest Mrs.A.Dhanalakshmi, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, New Delhi, Director Administration Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Principal Dr.M.Premkumar, Convener Dr.R.Shanthi, HoD, English, Coordinator Mrs.A.Samundeeswari, AsP, ECE along with the Women faculty members and girl students of all the departments of Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal.
Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College welcomed the chief guest, Director Admin, faculty members and students for the webinar. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Institutions, in which he highlighted educating the concept of up gradation of women in society. He encouraged the participants to be courage enough to face the today’s world. He also stated the importance of Value education to everyone, as gender sensitization needs to be addressed now-a-days.
The session was carried over by the Chief Guest Mrs.A.Dhanalakshmi, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, New Delhi, on the title Women Welfare, in which she briefed about the schemes and initiatives taken by the Government of India for the upliftment of Women in India. She clearly explained various schemes for all ages of women and their benefits. She also explained her life journey in becoming a successful IAS officer which was very useful and hopeful for the participants.
Dr.R.Shanthi, HoD, English, Convener of Women Welfare Committee proposed the vote of thanks. Finally Mrs.A.Samundeeswari, AsP, ECE, Coordinator of Cultural Committee completed the online session with the feedback link.
