On 28.04.2303, Y20 (Youth-20) Salem summit was organized by Young Indians Salem chapter in collaboration with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (GoI), co-hosted by Paavai Educational Institutions.
The Y-20 Salem summit started with the Inaugural session, Mrs Nagalakshmi Vignesh Kumar, chapter chair, Yi Salem welcomed the gathering and introduced the speakers of all three panel discussion sessions, with opening remarks.
CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions gave the Inaugural address, in which he shared his experiences. In his inaugural speech, he stated that if one needs to be successful, he/she should build a team. But to sustain the business/success, good ethical principles need to be followed, with honesty and virtue. He added that there should not be any comparison with large organizations rather one should champion themselves with the available resources. He said that Startups need to be developed with Integrity and continuous hard work. He also stated that the reasons for the sustainability of many famous companies over several decades are their ability to update or modernize, product quality improvement based on customer product up-dation, continuous infusion of capital and nurturing of human resource.
Special address was given by Mr.V.Sudhakar, Past Chairman, CII Salem zone and Managing Director, Balaji Rubber Industries Pvt Ltd. In his address, he detailed about the successful role of Entrepreneurship and quality-based business. He stated about G20-Y20 as world level programme wherein policies, growth, infra structure is focused with Food ,Fuel, Fertilizer.
Mr.Suresh A, Chapter Co-chair, Yi Salem gave the closing remark for the inaugural session.
In the first panel discussion titled Integrity and Ethics in Building individual and organizational capacity, Mr.Vignesh Kumar G, Chair, Thalir, Yi Salem Chapter, was the session moderator. Dr.Saundarya Rajesh, Founder President of Avtar Group and Mrs Rajalakshmi srinivasan, Director, 24/7, Zoho Corporation were the Panel members.
In Dr.Saundarya Rajesh discussion, she spoke about Liberalization, Privatization, Globalization and her contribution in the lives of one lakh women by making them to re-enter their career for the past 22 years. She also stated that Ethics and Integrity in the leadership with responsibility leads to limitless goodness. She added that Trust, Respect, Appreciation, Compassion with empathy must be the leader’s quality.
Mrs Rajalakshmi srinivasan, in her talk she mentioned Career must be based on money, responsibilities, learning opportunities. She added that there will be failure, competition and so on, but with hard work and perseverance, one should be patience to improve his/her integrity.
In the second panel discussion titled championing local identity for Economic resilience, Ms. Bhuvana Rajeswari, Yi Salem Chapter, was the session moderator. Mr.R.Sundaram, Founder and Managing director, Aerospace Engineers Private ltd, Mr. Bhaskaran Krishnamoorthy, Writer and Columnist, Income tax Officer(Retd), and Mr. Arun Dayanithi, Founder and Managing director, Dhrona Consulting were the Panel members.
Mr.R.Sundaram, Founder and Managing director, Aerospace Engineers Private ltd shared his experiences in building up the aerospace engineering company in the rural area with a world class standard. He also advices the students to search for the areas in which they can build their own company to match with Make In India theme.
Mr. Bhaskaran Krishnamoorthy shared his views and experiences of his life as aspirant of government exams, his work life at All India radio and Income Tax office. He also stated his experience as a writer in The Hindu and other famous magazines.
Mr. Arun Dayanithi explained well about his career in bringing up several brands and their investment around 12,000 Cr in the Kongu region. He also explained his task across the nation in providing consultation to build and improvise various family-based business.
In the third panel discussion titled Strategies and challenges in New Enterprise Development, Mr.J.Sakthivel, Past Chair, Yi Salem Chapter, was the session moderator. Mr.Vikranth Sathyamoorthy, Associate Vice President , Western Tamil Nadu, Department of Guidance Tamil Nadu and Ms.Shantha Sheela, State Business Facilitation Officer, FaMe TN were the Panel members.
Ms.Shantha Sheela explained the various schemes and support offered by the Tamil Nadu Government to the entrepreneurs. She also explained the works of FaMe TN unit along with all the other departments in building up the confidence among the entrepreneurs through MSME and DIC. She explained the contribution of center of excellence to the startups for the usage of World resources through digital marketing.
Mr.Vikranth Sathyamoorthy stated that the involvement of Tamil Nadu government in supporting the entrepreneurs and their Investment Promotion. He also stated the facts about the quality-based business that can survive long. He added to his point about various funding schemes with benefits to the entrepreneurs.
Mrs Nagalakshmi Vignesh Kumar, chapter chair, Yi Salem thanked the gathering, with Summing up of the event.
